Inkscape should register a click at the cursor position, rather than the absolute pen position.Because Windows is configured to relative mode, the cursor does not jump to the stylus position, making the tablet completely unusable. On closer inspection, the offset is not constant, but the click position is based on the absolute position of the pen on the tablet, ignoring the current position of the cursor. Inkscape registers the click or drag based with an offset.Start inkscape, try click or drag (dragging a select rectangle is easiest, since that gives feedback about where the click is processed even when there is nothing there). This means that any movements on the tablet are relative to the current cursor position, like a mouse, rather than jumping the cursor to the absolute position within the tablet. Attach a tablet (Wacom MTE-450 in this case) and configure it to "mouse mode" in the settings.

Inkscape seems to force (Wacom) tablets into absolute mode / screen mode.
